Rough Magic announces the appointment of a new Executive Producer

 

Rough Magic is delighted to announce the appointment of Diego Fasciati as the company’s new Executive Producer.

A native of Switzerland, Diego Fasciati moved to Dublin in 2001 to complete a Master in Philosophy in Anglo-Irish Literature at Trinity College. He joined the executive of the Arts Council in 2003 as International Arts Development Manager. In this role, he managed a number of international awards and initiatives and developed policy on the support of the international dimension of the arts. In addition, he assumed responsibility for the Council's Supports for Artists programme. An experienced and committed arts practitioner, he has also served as Education Officer and Company Manager for Opera Theatre Company. In the USA, he filled a number of roles over a five-year period at Boston Lyric Opera. In Switzerland he has worked as a freelance translator for news agencies and other businesses.

Commenting on the appointment, Lynne Parker, Rough Magic’s Artistic Director said today “This is a very happy appointment for us. We are delighted that Diego has agreed to take Rough Magic forward at a time of such intense growth and activity. His international connections and comprehensive knowledge of theatre-making in Ireland will be of enormous benefit to the company”

Mr. Fasciati will take up his position in March 2007. He replaces Loughlin Deegan who was recently appointed Artistic Director/CEO of the Dublin Theatre Festival.
