Act I, Pentecost

The Lyric Theatre & Rough Magic present Pentecost as part of The Parker Project, a double bill of Stewart Parker's work.

Pentecost sees four people gathered together by an accident of fate in a working-class house where, against the background of the Ulster Workers' Council Strike, they work out their relationships to each other, to the world outside and to the past. Humane, funny and profoundly moving, this play demonstrates fully the achievement of this great and compassionate writer.

Written in 1987 Pentecost won the Harvey's Irish Theatre Award.
